Childhood Obesity

If you're like me, you're tired of hearing how bad our waistlines are enormous and our children are too fat. That is true makes it even more annoying. It's time to lose the negative and look for positive things. Here are some of my ideas:

1) To Play: Seriously. Go play with your children. Off the bat and ball, lift the skates and get moving as a family. Most aspects of the game are also exercising, running the bases on a softball field, skating down the sidewalk with the kids and go for family bike ride along can bring the family, lift your spirits and .. . help you get fit.

2) Good Food: good tasting food does not have to be bad for you. You may have to experiment to find the right combination, but possible. We have developed a few habits that make fun of eating healthy and natural. One of them is kind of strange, but works very well. We lightly steam broccoli (enough to not feel like you're chewing on a stick) and then eat it as is like popcorn.
 
Another is a plate of snacks. Seasonal fruits, vegetables favorite whole-grain pretzels and other delicious foods are served before dinner or during the time of the film at night. This makes a couple of things pretty pain. The first is to help your family get the fruits, vegetables and whole grains need to be healthy and secondly a bit dull the appetite for heavy foods are not as desirable. I found that if you move around the various components to the tray does not age, can be a useful way to have good food safely.

3) Shopping Fun: The average child in the store passively riding in the car or walking behind a message of text. Even when they are toddlers, kids can help you choose what you put into the car to eat. As long as you stay away from the aisles of candy, cookies and junk food, this is very useful.

That, in itself, it makes it fun. We parents have to make it more fun by explaining likes, be willing to try new foods and otherwise encouraging children from an early age to smart nutrition. An example of how this might work comes from an exchange between one of our daughters and a classmate.

They sat at the table, and young rose cut white fat milk and informed our daughter that had made the best choice, since fat is reduced. She raised her carton of chocolate milk and said she was fat free. Guess who changed milk options?

4) No School: I found it very easy to start pontificating to others, including my family, about healthy eating. All they do is upset a lot of nonlisteners boring. It is not easy to quit the master, but to avoid even the sound of a conference is really better. Showing is better to say.

5) Snack smart: You and your family will not give up your favorite foods that are high in fat, sugar and so on. Just learn to time how long a piece. In fact, eating something "bad" for a couple of times a week can really help you lose weight. Just remember the portion size. Eating an entire tray of chocolate chip cookies is not a smart snack ...

If we keep the words "diet" and "exercise" of the equation ... yet they do, we are ahead in the game. Let's keep a positive attitude and we can all become healthier.
